For the last 30 years he has played in various bands in the basin, most recently lead guitar with the High Desert Boys. People may also know him from hosting open mic at Mias & Pia's as "Marvelous Marv." Marv says, "Music has always been a joy in my life and continues to be the 'doctor' that makes everything better!"

Robert Kerns is an Oregon native who spent most of his early years in Klamath Falls. He always had a passion for music and started playing in bands with friends as a teenager and student at Mazama High School. In 1986, Robert and his band Black Dove moved to Southern California to hit the rock and metal scene in Los Angeles. They gained a decent local following around Orange County over the next few years.
Robert left Black Dove in 1989 and started studying recording engineering and production in hopes to make a living working behind the scenes. He worked part time as a sound man in some of Orange County’s finest establishments for a while. Eventually Robert began a career working with computers, which allowed him to put together his own small studio to record his music.
In 2016, Robert was able to move back to Klamath Falls. He loves being back home, living the quiet life of a small town far away from the rat race he lived in for so many years.
In 2019 Robert formed the band King of Denial, but no sooner than they played their first two gigs, COVID hit, and he went back into the studio to write and record music in a variety of styles.
Robert recently released an album of electronic music under the name Vice Den Dance, which can be streamed or downloaded from any of the major streaming services and online digital music retailers. He is also currently recording the first King of Denial album and hopes to have it ready for release by late summer or fall of 2022.
